6-Arm French Chandelier, CA. 1930
6-Arm French Chandelier, CA. 1930
This is a wonderful example of French Plaque Chandelier made around 1930.
Atop the chandelier sits a beautifully cut tulip, below this is a silver plated brass canopy which has a superb swirly cut pattern. The stem of the chandelier has typical French moulded glass with silver plated spacers separating them. From the canopy drapes droop down to each of the 6 arms and consist of beads and lozenge cut glass.
Each of the arms has beautifully cut nozzles and pans with French plaques for adornments, they are connected to each other with a unique half heart shape, these again are adorned with French plaques and tear drops. The chandelier finishes with a selection of long tear drops and a simple polished bubble.
A very fine example of a French chandelier made between the wars.
