At G & P Cohn we offer a Chandelier cleaning service to meet your every need, we cater for all size of Chandeliers from the very small to the extremely large.

We have been cleaning Chandeliers for over 60 years and have accumulated a wide ranging portfolio, we have cleaned many National Trust stately homes such as Attingham Park, Basildon Park, Erdigg, Dunham-Massey, Fenton House, Blickling Hall, Buscott Park, to name but a few. We have also cleaned many private residences in London such as Mayfair, Kensington, Chelsea through to further afield such as Sussex, Oxfordshire and many many more.

The Process

We have a very detailed process that we go through to ensure that the Chandelier is dismantled, cleaned and dried to perfection. Key aspects include :

  1. Bringing all of our own ladders, steps, dust sheets and tools of the trade in order to keep the disruption down to a miniumum
  2. Before embarking on the cleaning we note down where all of the glass drops and buttons reside so we know where to put them back
  3. We take down all the glass and label it accordingly. We then start the cleaning process
  4. One of the team will start by washing the glass in a special solution, then rinse the glass in clean water and then begin the task of drying each individual button or drop
  5. Another member of the team will begin cleaning the frame
  6. Finally we then start putting the buttons and drops back
  7. We finish by replacing the bulbs and turning the Chandelier on to test
