Gilt Lion Claw Feet Table Lamp, ca 1830

This is a large and substantial table lamp dating from the early 19th century that we have restored and converted for electricity with gold cable.

It is fully tested.

The lamp base is in the Empire style. Its reeded central column has a splaying acanthus leaf motif to the top, and glit-embossed foliage detail at the bottom. The column rests upon three lion claw feet above an ornately decorated triangular base, with three lion masks.

Material: gilt and ormolu brass.

Width of Base: 20cm/8".
Height to top of lamp holder: 50cm/19.5".
