A Ormolu Lion-Claw Table Lamp, ca 1830

This is a large and substantial table lamp dating from the early 19th century.

We have restored it and converted it for electricity with silk-covered cable and it is fully tested.

The lamp base is in the Empire style. Its reeded central column has a splaying acanthus leaf motif to the top, and glit-embossed foliage detail at the bottom. The column rests upon three lion claw feet above an ornately decorated triangular base, with three masks and rosettes.

Material: gilt and ormolu brass.

Width of Base: 18cm/7".
Height to top of lamp holder: 43cm/17".
