These are a particularly fine pair of Canton porcelain vases that date from the late 19th century. They are decorated with typical Chinese scenes surrounded by gilded borders, and each vase is surmounted with a pair of gilded ring drop handles coming out of a beast's mouth.

Originally used for the transportation of tea from China, we have professionally and expertly converted them into beautiful table lamps. Due to their age, there was some damage to both porcelain vases, but we have sympathetically repaired them and they are rewired to present-day standards with silk-covered cable.

Each vase has a twin lamp holder sitting beneath a cream-coloured silk shade.
